Scholarship: Japanese Sponsored Scholarships

For more than 60 years, the Japanese Government had invited Filipinos with other nationals from all over the world to study in Japan. Each year, an annual average of 100 scholars from the Philippines have been sent to Japan under six different scholarship programs.

  1. Teacher Training Scholarship
  2. Japanese Studies Scholarship
  3. Undergraduate Student Scholarship
    Deadline
    (must be received by)
     July 30, 2020 (Thursday)
    Exam and Interview Date TBA
    Qualifications ●Applicants must be born on or after April 2, 1996.
    ●Applicants must have graduated from high school by March of the year of departure.
    ●Applicants must learn and receive instruction in the Japanese language.
  4. Research Student Scholarship
    Deadline
    (must be received by)
    Applicants July 30, 2020 (Thursday)
    Exam and Interview Date TBA
    Qualifications ●Applicants must have been born on or after April 2, 1986.
    ●Applicants must be university or college graduates.
    ●Applicants must intend to continue a course of study previously begun, i.e. shall not begin study in a field new to the applicant.
    ●Applicants must gain a pledge from a Japanese professor that he or she is willing to supervise the study of the applicant.
    ● If the host university deems it necessary, the applicants may learn and receive instruction in the Japanese language.
  5. Specialized Training Scholarship
    Deadline
    (must be received by)
    July 30, 2020 (Thursday)
    Exam and Interview Date TBA
    Qualifications ●Applicants must be born between on or after April 2, 1996.
    ●Applicants must have graduated from high school by March of the year of departure.
    ●Applicants must learn and receive instruction in the Japanese language.
  6. College of Technology Scholarship
    Deadline
    (must be received by)
    July 30, 2020 (Thursday)
    Exam and Interview Date TBA
    Qualifications ●Applicants must be born between on or after April 2, 1996.
    ●Applicants must have graduated from high school by March of the year of departure.
    ●Applicants must learn and receive instruction in the Japanese language.
